Poor toes

You all really pulled through on the comments, and for that I thank you. I feel a special closeness with you, my blogging friends, so I feel like I can share with you a little bit of a sad story.
As you know from my last triumphant post, I have had a really sore hip. Almost a week later, I am still struggling with it, but it is on the mend. I can now walk up the stairs with alternating steps instead of the crawl I used at the beginning of the week. It has been really painful, but still worth it, in my opinion.
Now for the sad part. Ben was in Kansas City this week, so someone still had to take care of the kids. I was making dinner one night and thought I would save myself a few excruciating steps and just separate the packages of chicken where I was standing at the freezer. I dropped one of the pounds of frozen chicken, and because I couldn't move my leg out of the way fast enough, the package dropped right on my poor little pinky toe. I didn't cry through the whole hip ordeal, but I did cry about the toe.
It does feel a little better with a fresh pedicure and coat of nail polish.

I hate hurting my feet. One time when I was living at home, I was taking my dogs on a walk and I had put the clip on before I had pulled the handle out of the drawer. Our door sometimes didn't latch all the way and so the wind blew it open, Batman went running out of the house and the leash caught the handle pulling the whole thing out on my foot. I totally know how you feel. I hope it feels better soon.

I don't think you need that one anyway, I hope that it's feeling better. We still have to have a real conversation, it seems like we're always to busy to have time to talk. Call me when you have a few minutes, or an hour;)

Wow, I can't believe I missed your super praiseworthy 1/2 marathon post. Excellent work. You look great!

Sorry about your hip and toe. I have a good trick for the hip if it's still hurting.

Oh no! Your poor body is being so abused!! ;)

And I can't believe it about the toddler/car incident! You need to post about that and share the whole story. Did you car get damaged badly? Was the toddler okay?

I feel so bad for you... it seems like one thing after another. Hopefully February will be a little more calm. :)

Ouch!! That makes me hurt just looking at it!!! And about your hip, is that just from exercising or what? Hopefully it's all better by now!

Thanks for the little note on my blog. I forgot many names...I'll have to do a post sometime on what each name means and how I got them.

PS did you get a new cell number? I texted you today and got no response!!!!!

I'm sorry about your toe. OUCH. I did a similar thing last year, caught my pinkie toe on a corner when I was at a full dash down the hall, couldn't put any weight on it for several days, man that hurt. Hope it gets feeling better very soon!
